To invite and welcome all to worship God in word, song and
scriptures; to grow in faith, to cherish our young, to experience friendship
and fellowship, to assist those in need, and to provide a spiritual loving place
in our community.

Hastings Trinity United Church will celebrate our
142nd anniversary on October 23, 2005. We sincerely hope that you
will join us in worship and fellowship. We have approximately 70 contributing
families and on most Sundays we have about 50 people in our congregation.
Our lay people read the scriptures during services and the elders are always here
to welcome everyone as they enter the sanctuary for worship.
We are governed by the Church Council which meets on the third Wednesday of every other month.
Each council member belongs to at least one of our committees. These include Stewardship, Finance & Property, Worship,
Trustees and Special Events.
Baptisms are held five times each year with allowance for special circumstances. We also have
seven communion services throughout the year.
Our choir members
meet Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m under the capable leadership of Ms. Auriel
Creighton who holds degrees in piano and violin. Special music is presented
each Christmas and Easter service. All who enjoy music and song are invited
to join and participate and we expect no special qualifications. There is
no junior choir at the moment but all young people who would like to join
us are welcome as well.
Sunday school is open to all young children, from little to not so little. The program is called
Journeying Together, a Christian Development curriculum published by the London Conference of the United
Church of Canada. This three year program begins with A Growing People, moves onto A Learning People,
and concludes with A Loving People.
Our nursery has toys and books that are suitable for very young children and parents
are welcome to use this area if their little ones become restless. Older children can spend the first 15 minutes with
the congregation which includes a story time, presented by the Minister, and then begin their Sunday School activities
and learning.
