Prayer for the evening.

Lord Jesus Christ, under your loving gaze
I consider the activities of my day.
          Thank you for:
              the warmth of the sun,
                  the affirmation of friends,
                      the help of fellow workers.
          Forgive me for:
                  looking to my own interests,
                      failing to encourage other,
                            neglecting the weak.
By faith I now enter the darkness of the night, declaring
                    “It is well with my soul”.
