Roseneath Vacation Bible School--- July 22-24, 2008

We held VBS in Roseneath United Church July 22,23,24, 2008 with 15 children attending plus 9 adults. Rev. Jamie presided over the opening and closing, "Campsite Opening" and "Blessing Walk."

We had crafts at "Creation Station" where the children made a prayer scarf to use for the opening and closing ceremonies. They made scrolls and a scroll carrier, sandals and a gift bag filled with tasty goodies.

In story telling at "Listening Lookout" they learned about the birth of Jesus; the family's flight to Egypt; Jesus in the Temple. Also "Peter's story" of being called by Jesus.

In kitchen activities at the "Picnic Table" they learned how to make a traveling snack (trail mix), a scroll made out of pretzels, fruit roll-ups and a house out of crackers. We had snacks and at the "Pathway Play" station we learned new songs and played several games.

On the last day parents, grandparents and care givers were invited for lunch. They learned a new song with us.

We had a fun and fabulous VBS. We are looking forward to bigger and better next year.
