Life is like a journey:
Sometimes our path winds its way up
through mountains and down into valleys.
Sometimes our path is covered with thistles and thorns.
Sometimes our path is straight and smooth
Sometimes the clouds and night obscure our way.
Sometimes the winds blow and the
rain and sleet beat upon us.
Sometimes the sun shines and
warms our tired bones.
Through it all we truge toward our goal
with God at our sides as a companion and friend.
May we never grow discouraged
to the point of quitting but rather
maintain our faithfulness through it all.
